Buckle Up, Baby! Target’s Car Seat Trade-In Is Back

Most parents don't realize that used car seats shouldn't be given away because they expire every six years, according to Target. They also need to be replaced if there's any minor damage of if they have been in a car accident.

The good news is that now you can trade-in your old car seat at Target and get a 20% off coupon!
Target's next car seat trade-in event is April 22-May 4, 2019!

Target will accept and recycle all types of car seats, including infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats and car seats that are expired or damaged. Materials from the old car seats will be recycled by Target's partner, Waste Management.

Guests who trade in their old car seats will receive a 20 percent off coupon toward a new car seat, car seat base, travel system, stroller or select baby home gear, such as playards, high chairs, swings, rockers and bouncers.

Here's how it works:

  1. When you get to your local Target store, bring your used car seat to the drop-off box located near Guest Services.

  2. The team member there will give you a 20 percent off coupon. Guests can get one coupon per seat dropped off.

  3. While car seats can only be traded in at a Target store, the coupons picked up can be applied to both in-store and online purchases.

Now you've got one more reason to make a Target run!
