How to Get Tar off Your Car

No need to run out and buy some fancy car cleaning products - we found this common household item will help you easily remove tar off of your car. With roadwork season just around the corner, check out this tip to help keep your vehicle looking nice and new.

Step One:
Clean the area to remove any loose debris.

Step Two:
Spray some WD-40 on the tar and allow it to sit for 30 seconds.

Step Three:
Wash the area with a soft cloth. Avoid using anything abrasive so you don't scratch your paint.

Step Four:
Once the tar is removed, wash and rinse away any residual WD-40 because leaving WD-40 on your paint for a prolonged time could harm the paint.
